Product Overview

Riz Chester has a passion for forensic science. One day at school there is a commotion outside the music room and something is missing. Riz recruits her friends, Jenny, Sabrina, Lachie A and Lochie C and breaks out her fingerprint tools. Is it more than a misunderstanding? How can they work out what happened when no one will even tell them what is missing? And is the mark left behind in the music room really a fingerprint?

Join the five friends as they recruit some extras to take fingerprints from everyone who might have gone into the music room and find a potential suspect.

    Fantastic for younger readers

Posted by Sally Allen on 8th Nov 2023

An absolutely wonderful "mystery" book for younger readers. The characters are diverse and interesting. The story flows and very engaging for younger readers. I will be promoting to all my students at my early childhood school. It is so hard to find interesting and age appropriate books for strong younger readers. The only reason I didn't give it five stars, is I would love to "character cards" to introduce the characters at the start of the book to help readers new to the series.
