Renée Treml has been fascinated with Australia’s wildlife since arriving here in 2007. Her stories and illustrations are inspired by nature and influenced by her background in environmental science.
She has written and illustrated several picture books including One Very Tired Wombat (shortlist CBCA 2013 Crichton Award for New Illustrator), Once I Heard a Little Wombat (2016 Speech Pathology Book of the Year Award Birth – 3 years; 2016 Environment Award for Children’s Literature Picture Fiction) and Ten Little Owls (2017 CBCA Notable Book). Renée also creates illustrations for a range of products including fine art prints, stationery, homewares and more.
