    A little gem

Posted by Alison Burdon on 26th Feb 2021

“Colour for Curlews” is a little gem. It’s a superbly illustrated book about some birds who get into mischief in a paint set. The birds mix the paints to make new colours, and then start getting creative. A chorus of Australian birds of all shapes and sizes join in the fun. The rhyming text and bright pictures make it so appealing. Young readers will love discovering all the unique features and colours of these feathery friends, and perhaps be inspired to spot them in the Australian bush.
