Heather began her writing career as a journalist and her work has appeared in The Age, The Melbourne Times and Leader newspapers.

Happy Pants – which tells the story of a boy grappling with his mother's PND - is Heather's first picture book. Her goal was to provide a resource for parents and others who have the difficult task of explaining PND to children.

Heather lives by the sea with her husband, two daughters and a dog called Pip.
