Mortal Insight is the first novel by E.B. James, though not the first novel this author has released.
Previous novels have been written under another name and have been of a completely different
genre.

feature mainly period drama romance, where Mortal Insight is crime drama)
E.B. James hails originally from South Australia, and considers herself country, though she has lived
in various different cities for all her married life.
Mortal Insight involves legal, political and social ideas that are based on the South Australian model,
but James hopes that the story will translate not only across Australian state lines, but international
lines as well.
