Novia Heroanto, now residing in Sydney, was born in Samarinda, Kalimantan Timur, Indonesia. Her background is as a former early childhood teacher and graphic designer. She is now focusing her talents on children’s picture book illustrations.
Throughout her life, Novia has embraced a rich tapestry of cultures and experiences, moving across countries and taking on various roles. This journey of integrating into new communities and meeting diverse people has shaped her worldview, while her passion for drawing has remained a steadfast source of inspiration.
Her creative ideas are fuelled by the candid interactions and vibrant conversations with the children she’s taught, as well as the curiosity of her son.
