Wombat Books publisher and editors offer picture book appraisals. We offer these through our consultancy service of Book Whispers.
This is not the same as a pitch. There is no obligation to submit to Wombat Books and this does not constitute a submission. There is an option to click if you would like your mansucript considered as a pitch in the form below.
Have two runs at your picture book manuscript and receive further editing feedback with this upgraded version of the appraisal. Please note this for the same manuscript not two different manuscripts.
What do you get?
- A summary of how we interpreted your work - so you can check whether that is what you wanted
- Marketability of your title
- Things that work
- Things that need improvement
- Light editing suggestions on flow etc.
- Recommendations for age range (or if you should adjust)
When you complete your order please submit details of your manuscript to the below form. Turn around time on most appraisals is 4 weeks. The Form gives instructions of where to email your manuscript.
After your first run at the appraisal you will re-send your updated script to our editing team for an updated appraisal with reduced cost.
