Katrina Roe

Katrina Roe is an author, broadcaster and podcaster who can be heard each weekday on Sydney’s Hope 103.2 radio.

Katrina’s books tackle real-life issues she has faced first-hand. Katrina’s first book, Marty’s Nut-Free Party, was shortlisted for the Speech Pathology Book of the Year Award. Her second book, Emily Eases Her Wheezes, was listed as a Notable Book by CBCA in 2015. Her third children’s book, Same, is a true story about her brother, Charlie, who has cerebral palsy. It was shortlisted for the Caleb Prize, 2016.

Gemma Gets the Jitters (2017) is a fun story about overcoming anxiety and was a Family Therapist Association recommended title. Her latest book, Lily’s Balloon is a gentle, hopeful story about disappointment, loss and learning to let go. It won the Caleb Prize in 2019.

Katrina is the host of two podcasts: The Hope Book Club and Australia’s Invisible History. She has also narrated four audiobooks, available on Audible. Katrina lives in Sydney with her maker husband, Chris and three creative and spirited kids.
