Jade Goodwin is an illustrator and proud Gamilaroi woman living and creating on Wonnarua Country in the Hunter Valley, NSW. Since illustrating her first children’s book in November 2022, Jade has brought to life more than 23 titles across a range of celebrated series and picture books. Her work includes the Little Ash, Tennis Camp Diaries and Yarn Quest series, as well as picture books My Dream For You, Let’s Try Again Another Day, Earthspeak, Goorramindi the Crocodile, How Big Is Love? and My Dream Holiday.
Jade’s illustrations are known for their warmth, vibrancy and heartfelt storytelling, often celebrating themes of culture, nature and connection. Her style blends digital and traditional techniques, weaving textured detail and emotion into every page. In 2024, she was featured by SBS/NITV for her contributions to authentic and inclusive representation in children’s publishing.
When she’s not painting, sketching or working on a new book, Jade can usually be found with a coffee in hand, a cat on her lap and a good book nearby, or out and about exploring to spark inspiration for her next illustration.
