Plenty of cuteness as these fuzzy little creatures grant wishes

Have you ever wished on a dandelion and wondered where the wind carries the seeds when you blow them away? Wombat Books has acquired world rights to The Dandelion Wish Factory, written by Jess Horn, a fabulous junior fiction novel that answers this question. Illustrator Lara Porter will bring the characters to life. 

Junior readers will join Glimmer, a little fuzzling, who has to grant a wish if she’s to graduate from the Dandelion Wish Factory. But it’s nearly graduation day and it takes forever to even find a wish. Mean fuzzlings Twiz and Trixy laugh and say that she will never do it in time. It doesn’t matter that her mentor Bramble believes in her—the human child whose wish she found has wished for a friend. How can Glimmer grant it when she doesn’t have any friends herself?

Jess Horn is an Australian neurodivergent children’s author and former speech pathologist who writes stories that celebrate imagination, inclusivity and diversity. Drawing on both lived and clinical experience, she explores the world from unique perspectives with warmth and authenticity, always with the hope that children will feel seen and valued in the pages of her books
