Sharon J. Boyce Sharon grew up surrounded by books and dreamed that one day she would be an author. She won her first writing competition when she was thirteen and attributes her ongoing longing to write to her Year 8 English teacher who told her she should be a writer.
She has three picture books out in the wild: There’s a Shark in the Loo, There’s a Shark at my School, and Who is at the Zoo? She also has had several short stories published.
There’s a Shark in the Loo and Who is at the Zoo have been translated into NSW Auslan for YouTube
Sharon’s claim to fame is that her picture books have been read by the former Duchess of York, on her YouTube channel Storytime with Fergie and Friends.
She believes the world is magical, that somewhere dragons are hiding, and that trees are the best of all growing things. She will tell you that there are whispers of stories waiting to be told all around us – you just have to listen.
One day, she would love to have a pet donkey…and a wombat…and an owl… Instead, she’s happy cuddling her cats.
If you can’t find her, she’s probably curled up somewhere cosy with a book, or off on another adventure in the great outdoors.
