Anne Farrell has had an extensive career as a copywriter, marketer and communications manager, but writing has always been one of her passions. A long-held dream of becoming an author simmered in the background until she finally took a crack at it in 2020.
Anne holds a Master of Arts (majoring in Professional Writing) and is a member of SCBWI, Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA), the Australian Society of Authors (ASA) and Writing NSW.
In 2024, she won the Junior Fiction Category in the Just Write For Kids Pitch It! Competition. In 2026, Anne signed with Wombat Books to publish her debut novel in early 2027, plus a sequel.
When not writing, Anne enjoys helping out with her young grandchildren, reading, swimming and spending time with family and friends. She lives with her husband in Sydney, Australia, on the traditional lands of the Gadigal people, and pays her respects to elders past, present and emerging.
Anne's books with Rhiza Press include:
Rill and the Riverbank Peril (Coming 2027)
