Anita Pegg is an author-editor from sunny Queensland. Her first books, Dawei Saves Lunar New Year and Camila’s Carnaval Catastrophe from the Celebrations chapter book series, will be published in 2027 with Wombat Books. A Rhiza Shorts book about cosplay is slated for 2028. Anita has a background in media production, including film and television, but decided to pursue her love of children’s literature and all things publishing.
While growing up, Anita spent time living in Europe and Asia, and also attended boarding school in Australia. All of these experiences have given her a broad range of ideas and characters to draw from. As a teen Anita developed a seizure disorder, and as an adult she was diagnosed with ADHD and autism. These differences have made her passionate about writing stories where children can feel seen. When she's not writing she loves spending time with her husband, daughter and retired assistance dog.
